The newest film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe hits theaters this weekend. The Fantastic Four: First Steps follows Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and The Thing confront their greatest challenge to date as they rise to defend Earth against the formidable G
Galactus and his herald, the Silver Surfer. 

What follows is The Good, The Bad, and The Spoilers of The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

The Good

The Fantastic Four: First Steps distinguishes itself through strong storytelling rather than sheer spectacle. While it forgoes the relentless action and oversized battle sequences common to much of the Marvel franchise, it compensates with richly drawn characters and a narrative that feels both focused and engaging. Each member of the team is given space to develop, with The Thing standing out in particular—his public admiration contrasted against a poignant desire for deeper, more personal connection. Though the action set pieces are fewer in number, the ones that appear are sharply executed and carry real weight. Galactus is realized as a genuinely imposing presence, with Ralph Ineson delivering a performance that captures both the scale and menace of the character’s endless hunger.

The Bad

While the story remains engaging and thoughtfully crafted, the action sequences often fall short of showcasing the full range of the heroes’ abilities, leaving the audience wanting more. Additionally, the film occasionally slows in pace, with certain sequences that may feel prolonged or less compelling to some viewers.

 My Overall Opinion

I give The Fantastic Four: First Steps a “Fantastic 4”  out of 5.

The Batman (Like, Another One)

  When I first heard there was going to be another Batman, with a different actor, my first thought was simply “why?”. When I found out that this actor was Robert Patterson, I was genuinely intrigued. I know Patterson gets a lot of negative comments because of the Twilight movies, but I have never held those against him. The Batman follows this iconic superhero in a new dark tale as he tracks down a serial killer. Batman slowly follows the clues into the criminal underworld of Gotham and the possible corruption of Gotham’s most influential figures.   What follows is The Good, The Bad, and  The Spoilers  of The Batman. The Gorge

This Valentine's day, a new action romance movie hits Apple TV+. Miles Teller and Anya Taylor-Joy star in this film as two elite operatives that are stationed in guard towers on opposite sides of a top-secret, sprawling gorge. They are tasked with safeguarding the world from a hidden, ominous force. Together, they ensure the secret within remains contained. What follows is The Good, The Bad, and NO Spoilers of The Gorge. The Good I’m not sure why The Gorge was released exclusively on Apple TV+ instead of hitting theaters, as it excels in both action and romance. The creatures from inside the gorge, the hollowmen, are eerie, mysterious, and shown to audiences early in the film.
